On October 14, 2015 the Poviat of Włodawa, the Foundation for Polish-German Reconciliation and the Laetitia Foundation, founded and presided by Attorney-at-law Marian Mazurek, signed a cooperation memorandum in order to renovate the railway station together with the surroundings in Sobibor, right next to the former Nazi death camp.
